'ere, Nigela. I was watching Jamies 30 minute meals yesterday, and he done something wierd. He was doing his 30 min 'Roast' and he made Onion and mushroom gravy using chicken stock! Surely you would use beef stock? Just thought it wierd using chicken with beef.

Not really. Chicken stock works better. If I had proper homemade beef stock, I'd have used it, but using stock cubes, I'd go for chicken as beef stock cubes can be a bit rich. What cut of beef did he use?

I remember when i had my throat operated on a while back (Had tonsils out and soft pallate lasered) i couldn't swallow my own spit for 3 weeks let alone eat. Was a miserable time i can tell you.
