Now that I know how to do it myself, my bread machine is stuck in the back of the cupboard...

where do you prove though SK - I used to make bread all the time at parents but we had an old fashioned airing cupboard!

I dont do anything special - I just prove at room temp for longer... If the oven is on I will sit it on the cooker top.

One tip I saw was to put it on a chair in front of the oven.

Room temp in our house is usually about 20C

Used the recipe from the guys website -



Vanilla Glaze

In a mug, microwave half of cup of milk with a teaspoon of butter (you'll use this later)

In a bowl mix:

1 cup of icing sugar

2 Tablespoons of the milk mixture

1/4 teaspoon of lemon

1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

If you a want really thin glaze, just add a little more of the milk mixture.



Chocolate Glaze

Use the milk mixture from above.

In a bowl mix:

1 cup of icing sugar

2 Tablespoons of Hershey Cocoa

3 Tablespoons of the milk mixture from above.

Put a slightly warm donut face down in the chocolate glaze, turn slightly and remove. Perfect!

I found that if you put the hot doughnuts in a tupperware box with some icing sugar the heat/oil on the doughnuts makes its own glaze :)

Meant to be at a gig on valentines day with a girl (not involved with her or anything, just so happens thats when that date of the tour falls). And since me n her bought tickets months ago, she's done nothing but say "even if you end up with a girlfriend by then, you better come to the gig with me" and of course I was entirely planning on.

However, today she's decided she's not going "because she's got too much uni work", which as far as im concerned, is total bull. How can you predict what uni work you're gonna have in 2 weeks? So in short, I reckon its her bf has turned round and said "nah, you like him, you're not going with him"

I used to pit regularly, but now in the process of getting wiser (older) im not really fit enough to keep up with the young whippersnappers anymore (considering the average age of a gig im at is about 15). But maybe once I start feeling the effects of the gym i'll re enter!

Even better than a pit though, wall of death! I mind partaking in a wall in the carling academy with Yellowcard. Ended up 4 folk deep on the floor!

That is utter quality! Only issue with being 4 deep on the floor is when you try n get your hand onto the floor to push yourself up, theres 3 layers of people to get through first. In my case it was leg, leg, face, floor!
