Even though my knee feels like it might fall off any minute, I think I'm going out for a quick spin later this week.
I need to know if I can get into work on it and if not arrange/blag a lift.
Been signed off again this week but I'm going out of my mind sat here.
I need to get better before I end up watching Jeremy Kyle!

Evening all, next door came round for a kebab and brought me some magners (feeling sorry for me re knee is still sore). polished off the grub and cider. had to open my homebrew plumb wine. It was flipping beautiful. The throb is now a dull ache. might get ****ed every night if it stops the knee from hurting.

Morning all. Was at band practice last night, and the rehearsal rooms have bought a club over, and are opening it as a rock venue, and are looking for DJ's, so i'm recording a demo at the moment! Nothing like going in at the deep end!
I don't want a rock DJ
Good luck DJMG182 you may be good, but not as good as me. But im retired, so you'll be fine

who would want coffee at 1:30am?!

Haha, retired?! Get the decks oot!Sold them. Its funny, i have 3000 12" singles and no record deck of any kind. As i say, im retired. To many yoofs/wannabe dj's willing to do it for a LOT less than i used to earn with their laptops and stolen record collections.
I spun the platers that matter for a shade over 20 years.

I'm afraid i'm one in favour of the laptop method, laptop running Traktor or Serrato, and 2 x CDJ's as a backup/supplement. One tiny wee bag to carry and no van needed!
I like the Laptop connected to a decent controller. CDJ100's is my recent favourite that i have used. A friend has PCDJ and controller and its awful Beat wanders all over the place etc.
I do still like the sound, and tactility of vinyl but agreed on the van stuff. However, i only ever used to have 3 boxes when i worked. When i dont mobile stuff, i was pure CD again, with just 2 cases of CD's which reduced as i amalgamated the CD single singles onto albums. I do miss it sometimes and cringe when i hear bad DJ's. But still life moves on. I can still rock a party till the broad day light when it matters. No matter what genre.

Morning all.
I prefer DJ Hero 2 on the ps3.
Even though I rock, I'd like to charge people to watch me but it wouldn't be right.
I actually played dj hero online last night on my xbox :D

Can you recommend a track for me to toe the waters pls?
Propane nightmares is good - but at the moment I'm loving Mutiny both off the In silico album. Spotify have a few of theirs. R&B/rock/dance crossover.
let us know what you think

How old art thou fruity?
31 but my musical tastes are VERY eclectic (Geroge Formby to Marolin Manson).
Q - I have listened to and enjoyed Propane Nightmares before and wondered who the artist was. Might Invest in some Pendulum in the future- thanks.
For some reason I had it in my head you were 50's-60's :D Sorry!

I remember thinking 20 was old. After a while years start going like months. my boy is 4 and everytime I blink he has grown.
I don't put any stock on ages anymore.
I've got mates who are much older and younger than me.
Most of the older ones often act younger (do more stupid things) than the younger ones.
Don't sweat turning 25, just enjoy the bumps.

Can't make my mind up as I love the originals.
I'll listen a few more times, perhaps it will grow on me.
( failed trying to think of a pun re infecting me or possibly some fungal play on words)
God 25!! - I had no long learned to walk again, I was employed by the dept of Work and pensions and enjoying it - yet to realise the fun i was to have with CS2 and death threats
I'd been hooked up with IP for almost 2 years but still living with my parents and still loving the dance craze i was in at that time

The pressure of a play list. However there are a lot of rock heads on here and i don't think that my eclectic genre choice would appeal to the masses. Like the ones that SK just posted. I have NEVER heard of them.
Anyway im up for a challenge. I shall have a sift through my ipod and choose a 10 track list and start a new thread. Watch this space...
