Ewwww belly buttons are gross :-?
Well I am shattered after taking the dog for a long walk and then going out for a run on the bike.
I let Max off the lead for the first time and he was quite well behaved actually :)

Cool dog minxer. Did you just get him?
I'm trying to tax the sv but the dvla site isn't working. Oh and I am being fined £100 for not doing my tax return :(

Our youngest jack russell is very antisocial. Well she's just very wary of other dogs and tends to attack first, ask questions later
Yep I forgot that the tax thing was for the tax year of 09/10 so just ignored it when I got the reminder

morning hoe'dup
Is British gas actually known as scottish gas in scotland??
ow doo
scotland is part of britain is it not?
yes its their trading name in Scotland.
well blow me down with a feather
on a side note to power. how can a company claim that their electricity is 'green' when all power generated goes into the national grid?
DarrenSV650S
02-03-11, 07:44 PM
because they have a couple of windmills in douglas
yes but if buy supposed 'green' power from lets say British Power or eon etc.etc. how can they guarantee that the power i receive is 'green'.

Exactly - infact why call it something different at all, let alone the fact scotland it part of britain. Are they trying to a[ppeal to scots that hate being in britain or something. Then why not just call the whole thing scottish gas? the english wouldn't care. Bizarre, I thought the sco0ttish call centre chap I spoke to was just winding me up.
It's all Centrica anyway.

Sell yours and collect mine for £1500 (drives fine just speedo went) if you replace the wiring loom it's easily worth £2500. 12 months mot, tax ,58000 miles on the clock (done about 60000 - have a record somewhere).

Man that's tempting. Just put 6 months tax on mine today. MOT runs out next month, bodywork is rusting to hell/paint falling off. Interior is mingin. Rear calipers are seized. Yours is really low mileage, mine is over 70k. So what's wrong with the speedo and wiring?

I think it needs a new loom tbh mate, the speedo sensor went a bit back, replaced it - fixed it but now the speedo fuses keep going - I cleaned up all the earths I could find but it still does it then on friday one of the electrical connectors shorted and set fire but the connectors were rusted to **** so I've just bodged it back for now and driven it everyday for work - it drives fine, couple of scratches on the bonnet I'm just gutted to give it to trade it in to a snotty dealer who acts as though he's doing me afavour only for him to fix the wiring and bang it up at £2.8k.
Full service history, new front brake pads (last month, bosch) the lot. might need a new front shock soon otherwise I'd be happy to run it into the ground or fix it and sell it if I didn't need it 6 days a week for work :(
I've text all my mates to see if anyone will have it at £1.5k before the weekend ...or it'll got to a stealer.

New loom could be a lot of work stripping out etc. I'd like to sell mine because there's so much wrong with it, but like you I'd get crap money for it considering it was £5k a couple years ago.

Yeh that's the annoying thing, they go for stupid money from dealers. When I bought mine there wasn't many about, so probably spent too much. It was from a dealer I got mine

A brother of a friend of a friend was selling his rifle for £100. It's definitely worth £150+ as with the uprated internals, scope, carry case and magazines it would be £300+ new.

It's airsoft, they're only toy guns that fire small plastic balls at 300 ft per sec.
Although the sniper I bought does 400 ft per sec. I have one of these as well

Don't get me wrong. I'm proud to say we have the NHS, but it seems to be stretched to the very limit.
I've got friends and family who work in it, and friends and family who rely heavily on it so routinely hear both sides of the coin. I hope and pray that the government can get things back on track but hold little hope this bunch currently in can do anything productive in the current climate.

I did apply, and I'm glad I didn't get it at the time now I look back. they get the raw end too although many would argue otherwise.
Still, if we wanted a utopia, where everyone did the same and stuck to all the rules, we would probably muck it up.
Generally I find most people are good hearted, honest and hardworking, but as a society those who work hard at hardly working and honestly don't give two shakes for there fellow man seem to grab the lime light.

warning RANT mode
dont get me wrong the NHS is the business but i do wish that they would get more funding. my wife and i would not be here right now if it was not for the NHS. i owe them my life.
buuuuuuut when you have to live with someone who is in constant pain because someone who is supposed to know their job cant do it you end up getting a tad annoyed. especially when you see other patients leaving with perfectly fitting and lovely plush cushioned splints. but for some reason they seem to treat my wife like sh!t and give her the crappiest of the crap. i once asked about such things and i was told ''errrmmm welll you see its like this'' bull. its the constant lies and bull that annoys me like 'it will be ready in 2 weeks' more like 2 months.
its not fair.
