View Full Version : The Megathread - Idle Banters Virtual Bar
Well just show them that you're a kind caring person then, and they won't be able to help to like you :)
I know I'm only 22, but I've not been single for more than 2 months since I was 14. My decent relationships have always come from being friends with the person first :D:lol: yeah that'll work, that or rohypnol ;)
I always seem to be attracted to the mental ones  Seriously, when out you think, ooo i like her, then she opens her mouth and you think my god, that shattered that illusion! Im dead fussy me. There have been some very special people in my life and some are still special and in my life. I couldnt ask for more than that.
Sorry, got all emotional there.
Oh, and i seriously need a haircut which doesnt help :)
VineyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyHey gorgeous, how you doin' (in a Joey type way)

Dan had the same problem V.
Then he met me
and longs for the Psychos and mentalists again!
Reminds me of the other week when me and my mate went out.
"Go talk to her, she's gorgeous" I say.
Off plods Glen to go be the gent. Ends up buying her a drink and talks to her for about a minute.
Glen then suddenly walks back.
"Sod that, she's thick as ****." He enlightened me :D

Hello Tara - again
Hello Anna - I reckon...they'll be ok with you this time. Partly because I am ever the optimist and partly because they clearly like what you've put forward to them.

I'm going to do another food video in a bit....first a chocolate mousse one because it's sooooo easy and the best.
Secondly, a roasted pork fillet with braised savoy cabbage and fondant potatoes :-)
GG - Im not convinced yet, I dont doubt they like what I have to offer (fanar fanar) as they are trying to convince their board to let me run the masters course without having a masters myself. Sadly this is a bit of a game that they are trying to keep me dangling whist they incompetently sort the rest out. I will play the game for now as I have no better offers yet. The second I do, I wont be loyal to them, I will try not to burn bridges, but very simply they wont be my first priority.
sounds good GG :D me i am going to attempt to get home shortly but think i shall be in for a long wait on the M3:rolleyes:

Ah the serial monogomist. Im 22 but the opposite, cant keep a 'relationship' going for more than a couple of months before Im looking for an exit route. Im seeing a girl at the moment, this time last month I was thinking, yeah this is going well I could see this working out, now im thinking, sh*t how do I get out of this without hurting her feelings too much. Dont even know why really just always happens, I think like the chase more than anything else.
that makes me sound like a right ******.

Maybe you're just afraid to commit.
There's nothing wrong with testing the waters however :)
22!!! your still young, and not much different to a lot of others out there, so long as you are straight with those that you go out with then no harm done.

Better than ainster?
different. they use the same fish but slightly different batter. ainster also use king eddies if i remember where as most chippys use marris pipers.
but £7 for 2 mini suppers and no travel i'll stick to round the corner.
DarrenSV650S
22-10-10, 05:54 PM
Plus you don't have to que for 45 mins :D
one of the best chippys i have been to is benny t's in falkirk expensive but good. also the one in brig o allan
yup everything ready i was in for like 3 mins. fish was just out and piping hot. just as it should be. ooohhh and the fish is 'boneless'.

They were nothing but trouble on my tzr
Wideboy
22-10-10, 06:11 PM
im not having any trouble with it, it works fine just squeaks at about 3k its anoying. i've downlaoded a service manual but its ****, the section about inspecting the exup jsut tells you to "remove fairings, check for cracks ect, check exup, put fairings back on"
im to cheap to buy haynes
the special high temp grease you refer to is usually silicon grease as it can take verrrry high temps.
thats coz your TZR smoked like a kipper house.
its squeaking at 3k as i suspect that is where it starts to open.
Wideboy
22-10-10, 06:14 PM
i didnt think the exup opened untill way up about 8k? jsut flaps about at low revs?
has the piping got joints near the valve? if so it could be that thats squeaking.
DarrenSV650S

It smoked because it didn't have the exup working so it was fully open all the time. By the time I got the exup working, the bike had spat me off and had been sold on ebay

ah didnt think of that, it may all be one piece not sure................ oh ******** i'll just buy a Haynes tssk
money money money
it wont smoke more just coz the YPVS valves were stuck open. its coz you were using too much 2t.

Because the valve was fully open, the oil pump was using the amount of oil it should be pumping at full chat, so when I was lower down the revs it was getting too much oil.
Wideboy
22-10-10, 06:28 PM
why do they still use them? gixers and blades dont...... they dont seem to benefit the ar5e ache
Milky Bar Kid
22-10-10, 06:33 PM
Pizza n chips was yummy. Jammies on now
no... the oil pump is variable if i remember. if set correctly it should make no difference, in fact it should smoke more with the valves closed. the pump was a pain in the behind to get set right as the manual was 'by the book' and never took into account the different types of 2t. this is why i always used the same 2t shell as i could get it almost anywhere.
DarrenSV650S
22-10-10, 06:34 PM

Yeh it's variable but it's also controlled by the ypvs unit. The oil pump is controlled by the throttle cable, and by the ypvs unit. It needs both to work properly
eggy bread with supernoodles and tomatoes followed by hobnobs and grapes with a glass of milk and quavers for later.

shhh shhh ..... watch this
hhhmmmm i know that the ypvs was controlled by a servo which was controlled by the cdi but as for it being connected to the oil pump is a grey area for me. in my defence it was 20+ years ago. lol. i was tinkering with a lot of smokers around that time.

The throttle has 3 cables from it. Two for the carbs, one which goes in to a box where it connects to another cable from the ypvs servo. Another cable from that joint then goes down to the oil pump motor to control it's flow

the full fat diet yeah, my muscle's are being replaced by fat so my weights not going up, either way its win win :D
so your servo was jammed open. if so you should have just disconnected the servo and jammed the valves 3/4 open. old trick with the 125's was to remove the pin and use a coke can ring pull as a gasket to jam the valve open between 1/2 and full. full was nothing then yipee where 1/2 - 3/4 was more of a compromise.

I was thinking of doing that but was worried the engine wouldn't get enough oil in the powerband so just left the valve fully open. Yep I had the "nothing, nothing, nothing ... wooooooosh"
It was challenging but really really fun
It was a nightmare on the dually though. It just wouldn't sit at a constant speed, because it wasn't in the powerband. I had to sit at the back of the pack and constantly go 60mph, 80mph, 60mph, 80mph ..... etc
enough of smokers it just makes me want another. which reminds me i hope the rumours are true about the rd500, but i feel it was just hype or hoax.

why they planning on re doing it? that will never happen, the emissions legislation will ruin it

from what i heard it is to be injected so less emissions supposedly enough to get past euro law crap. but we shall see. only down side is, the only thing you wont pass is a petrol station lol. the suckers drink like fek.
