Nah wasnt my favourite, although I have a Zippy soft toy that is my pride and joy.
A guy gave it to me when I had a car crash, he got me out of the car, carried me to the side of the road, got me a blanket etc, and brought Zippy down aswell while we waited for the ambulance and police.
I never got to thank him for that :(

Morning Mini - 'tis set to be a glorious day here. Went to bed to the sound of the three owls calling out across the valley, at least last night they were in next doors trees, not ours...lol. Gotten to miss it when I don't hear them now, but that's not very often.
Loving todays google logo.
Is it wrong though that I am already bored?

How to do it? Dunno...lol.
The way I see it, getting up is a part of life, deal with it, do it and get on with it. I do love the odd lie in, but they always make me feel lazy the rest of the day. Get up, let dogs out, have brew, get on with day, bedtime comes....sleep like a baby :-)

My aircon unit is on heat ;)
What a waste of electric.....just put a jumper on! :p
I have that on too. A nice purple one. My dad's infact...
ach at you lot. Cold. Its loveley out there this morning. Riding to work this morning there is a bit of road where you can only see one sky scraper in lodnon, and the sky was all grey and murkey, and the sun was hitting just this one building. It was excellent, just like the resurection..but in a building type stylee.
Its nice n sunny out there at the moment.
As for Air con. Mines at 21oC all the time no matter what. No heat settings

Purple jumpers & nail polish
Tbh, I only have mine on at the moment trying to warm the place up. We have the server in here sadly and we have to set the aircon to 16degrees each night. Needless to say its freezing in the morning.
It's not a gay bright purple. I think it's actually quite stylish for a 53 year old man to choose, so I can just about get away with wearing it even though im 31 years younger (waits for bigbaddad or another EAR member to mention my green 'waterproofs').
metalhead19
30-09-10, 09:31 AM
Am surprised they let you work around the servers? Would have thought most places would try n keep them away from anyone/anything.
And i can imagine 16 degrees being bit cold....should wake you up well each morning tho :p
They'd have to change the wiring or change our office to move either us or the server, and that would cost money...
metalhead19
30-09-10, 09:39 AM
That is true.....should get them to give you more money to buy warm clothes ect as you have to work in such cold conditions
My god, that'll be the day! I'm the second lowest paid person out of about 45 people in the company. The only person who gets paid less is the boss' son who is mentally handicapped and he gets to come to work and sit on the internet all day and not actually do anything. He does get a company phone though which he spends about £150 a month on, and considering I have to pay my own phone bill it perhaps works out that he's on more than me lol.
Its freezing up here - radiators have failed again BUT the sun is out and its a wonderful crisp day with blue sky and sun. THe local river is well up and cascading well over the falls and the sun is hitting the red leaves it iis rather picturesque

I'm on an industrial estate, and in 15 minutes about 25 bin lorrys will flood the front of our company to go to the cafe on the corner.

Maris Piper

or Albert Bartlett Roosters work quite well. There are lots of others but they are generally the ones you'll find easily.
Peel, cut and put in COLD water, bring to boil. Boil for 5 minutes, drain immediately, put back in pan, back on heat for 5-10 seconds to evaporate any moisture and then shake about in the pan to rough the edges up.
Another tip...don't use too much fat in the roasting tin. Just enough to baste them with, so enough to be aobut 2-3mm deep.
Nom nom nom, I'd be feeling really hungry now, but last night we had roast chicken with all the trimmings and yep....LOADS of roast potatoes :-)
I like making roast dinners for you and Drew...you practically lick your plates...lol:kiss:

I sat this morning for 20 minutes, watching a squirrel out of the kitchen window (the flying squirrel if you remember that story) and it was picking up the fallen conkers, cleaning them, bouncing a few feet away and digging holes, burying them all. Different hole for each conker. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OO cute. I don't care if they are rats with fluffy tails. I'd stand and stare at them going about their business too. I love wildlife :-)
