Had a couple of scary moments on the bike today.

First, going across Glen Shee I went round a corner and there was a sheep right in the middle of the road just spacing. Slowed down and went past it and it didn't even move. It was just sitting there waiting to scare someone else, so I went back and rode right at it, revs blaring, tooting the horn :lol: .....that scared it off.


Then, going over the Schiehallion a big pheasant jumped out on to the middle of the road right in front of me. Grabbed the front brake, bike got a bit twitchy so I let go a little. I wasn't going to slow down in time so I had to choose, left, right, or straight on :lol:

The stupid thing just stood there completely still so I went past it on the left. I proper pat my shants. Got a big dose of adrenaline straight after.

I am in a slight state of shock this morning. Dan has been calling the doctors to get an appointment about his back. In over two and a half years, he has never even had the slightest incling to go to the doctors, despite a few times being really really ill, so it must be really hurting him :-(

My mum did that! She was holding a dog at work and it tried to bite her and she pulled a muscle but she was over compensating and her lower back muscles when into spasm. They ended up giving her diazepam to make them relax
