its a tropical wood, hard and heavy, the dust and oils in it are poisonous mess your tools up aswell as your hands.... one of my fav timbers and it changes colour in light, but it irreversible

now are you sure that 2 will not just twist the neck if the tension is not set right.

Are the bars under tension? If not, there could be issues

there wont be, that timber wont move, the joint will break before the timber will bend I've tested it
