V go buy fast ford on your lunch. you know it makes sense ;)LOL, i used to subscribe to Perfomance Ford back in the day.
Seeing KK's new ride makes me think if i should think about searching out an old XR2...hmmm. However, now im getting older i start looking at the running costs and MPG. I remember with my XR that it run about 9MPG with the Mods. This was early 90's so fuel was cheaper then. My next ride needs to do more than 30mpg urban cycle, so Diesel it will be.

Nova 1.5 TD (Turbo Diesel) ?
From memory could leave the GTE standing, was 3 groups lower insurance too and cheap.
Had a lot to do with the fact it was the same engine that could also haul a much heavier Astra chassis around :)

Had a lot to do with the fact it was the same engine that could also haul a much heavier Astra chassis around :)You are right. However, i will never have a nother vauxhall as long as i shall live, not after the astra i had. I remember when the Nove TD came out and all the hype as at the time, it was one of the 1st small cars that run a TD lump and had some kind of performance. They where hugely expensive compared to what was around at the time (SRi's and GTE's an suchlike). My best mate at the time had a Renault 18 Turbo. Was stupid quick and a lot cheaper to insure than the 5 turbo.
okay V a massssive turbo that kicks in a 7kNa, im not going to go old school. I want a BMW E46 320d ragtop. I am meant to be having a mid life crisis and all that.
