Thought you were going out for a run?
Been, was out for 3 hours in the peeing rain...
Went over to Stirling, Erskine, Loch Lomond, Stirling and back home via a variety of little twisty roads.
Was a lovely day for a smoke tinted visor though... :)

Brought mine into work today, its also in need of a good wash.
Do you not have facilities at work to wash ze bike?
I might just nip round to the jet wash with mine. Cant be bothered with the bucket and sponge...
*soooo lazy*

No. I'll need to wait until I get home.
Tell you what - nip round by mine when you finish and you can wash mine while you're washing yours.

Recently lost a loved one ... rubbish nights sleep .... 12 hour shift .... and the curvy STILL makes me smile on the daily commute. Contemplating what this may mean over a VERY large glass of red wine with Mrs Rich and daughter No2. Your input and comments please (and don't be shy)!

you've been reading the Mojo thread?
does it mean that you're still alive and willing to cherish those moments, knowing that life is short and that we should enjoy it?

Just trying to get sorted for starting a different job mid week
I'm back on shift tomorrow and really not looking forward to it.

30-05-11, 09:01 PM
Ouch!
I'm guessing your one 8 days then
Nah - I only work 3 shifts a week, clinical placement for Uni. But it's a clinicla area I dislike. There have been issues with my mentor, so much so I almost left the course and put in several complaints...
And I've got 5 weeks of it to endure. *sob*
andrewsmith
30-05-11, 09:04 PM
ouch hun.
What fields it?
Whats the mentor being doing like
Midwifery. She's just nasty. All nice to your face, doesnt tell you there's any problem and then almost fails you for the whole placement at the final meeting. She's done it to a few girls. Dont really want to talk about it tbh - just hoping I'm not allocated to that team for the 5 weeks!
andrewsmith
30-05-11, 09:08 PM
ah not good!
I'll not mention it again. I know a few people that struggled with the midwifery side all mentors from what was said
I could bitch about it for hours, but it's public forum and you never know who's watching! lol
I'm almost at the end, just keep saying that to myself!

Best policy! 5 weeks keep saying that.
I did with the last agency job I had, as I didn't really get on with the guy I shared an office with.
Funniest one is he spent 3 hours cleaning the office after I left. It was a working office and I worked the longest day in the building. And bailed him out the sh*** by doing his work for him
stupid people are stupid. :)
I tell myself that a lot too!

Very true!
Can't be as bad as Newcastle, half the chavs beg. I've nearly glassed a couple and a guy i know almost stabbed one of them on Saturday
Never had the pleasure of Newcastle... thankfully.

It alright for a night out if you avoid the following areas
- The gate
- Bigg Market
- The Diamond Strip (Mosley Street/ Westgate Road)
- The Quayside
They are horrid places to go to and work.
Thankfully I'm working in a upper class place atm.

I absolutely love it when I have to get up in the early hours of the morning to take my brother to the nearest A+E because he has drank too much caffeine and is having a palpitation. Especially when I have to get up at half 6 in the morning. Wide awake now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I am looking forward to the TTs. Just hope its nice weather.
Need to track down Guy Martin when we are there because my Dad has done a drawing of him and the relentless suzuki and wants it signed.
If you don't get him Hel I'll should be seeing him in July at **** O north in Scarborough ( he needs his fire abilities tested)
thought I think I'm in need of eye bleach see (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MY-WORN-NAVY-BLUE-NYLON-BRA-SEQUINS-38B-SEXY-TV-CD-/170645475350?pt=UK_Women_s_Vintage_Clothing&hash=item27bb435016)what i mean
My mate who is doing the Gumball 3000 went to the Monaco GP Sunday, he sent me pics of his view. The hotel over-looking the hairpin.
I dont do jealous, but heck i was mighty close.
carry on
Keith - it ain't that good I worked there one year with my mate and we got that weekend off ( very little to do) I'd rather watch it on TV!!
I'd like to see the TT as it'd be a great experience, but I think overall I'd rather go when its quiet so I could ride ther roads properly though as I've only ever been in my car on previous occasions :)

Probably not toooooo much of a loss. It'll be so packed you'll never get an opportunity to ride the roads like you should! Maybe if I have some spare cash in September I might pop oveeeeeer and catch the last of the summer sun.

If you do then make sure you stop by mine :) (you will have to pretty much ride past my house to get to the docks anyway if you are sailing from Heysham)
So I've rode by your house almost without noticing about 8 times?! Creepy.

You will get through it though, just try get seperate shifts to your mentor, thats what my friend did when she was doing her nurses training.
Yeah - I've tried but it's hard to sort shifts that suit childcare.
Nghhh... I'll just keep my head down, I only need to pass.

Ouch Fenjer look at it as being 5 weeks work!
U all ok?
it wont be that bad Jen. mentors are there to see you work under pressure as well as everything else. some put a little more pressure than others. it will make you a better rug rat puller in the end. my advice (and its not worth much) is just get on with it and do as your told.
There's always time to go back to it.
I think by the end of this 5 weeks I'll be regretting Midwifery.
But I'm too close to the end to give up!

I dont really want / cant afford to go through uni now.
I do want to train as an RSPCA inspector but I need to learn to drive and to swim first

Yup - 1 shift down 14 to go!!

It will Bib, she doesnt tell you that you're doing anything wrong, lets you go along under the false impression that everything is ok and then with one shift left tells you she's going to fail you! Thankfully she isnt my sign off mentor but I still have to work with her!
I'm not there to kow toe to mentors with a chip on their shoulder, I'm there to look after women and try to improve their experience at one of the most stressful and exciting times in their lives. The mentors would do well to remember thats what they are there for too.
